I bought this and another Maisto replica (’57 Vette) at the same time. Both are very nice for the money. I really like the dark (but not quite Midnight) blue paint on this Ford. Knocked off one star because it is only a low-budget replica. Well worth the price (but not a whole lot more).

One of Maisto’s better models. Exterior of the model is virtually perfect, down to the “Ford Deluxe” script on the hood and V8 logos on the hubcaps. The paint is flawless, with the silver trim painted exactly. I did find a small bump on the left fender, looks to be glue, maybe from installing the headlight. No disaster there, I’m leaving it alone. Doors, hood, and trunk lid fit well. I like that they skipped the usual whitewalls on this one, I think blackwalls look better on this particular car. Only negative is the frame “ears” being chrome, being molded with the bumper, and they should be black. Models at twice this price often do that, and it’s minor. Interior is a reasonably nice presentation of the actual car, with a correct steering wheel and dashboard. The trunk even has a spare mounted in the correct place. The engine is done well for this price level, with the correct dark green heads and the battery included. This model compares favorably with a much more expensive model of a ’37 Lincoln Zephyr that I have. Maisto did a very nice job on this one.
